Will you become part of a our technical department that customers and colleagues can rely on?
Who we are.
Orange Charging is part of Sakko Group. A family business with more than 100 years of experience in energy supply. Started in the coal trade and later as a distributor of modern fuels, we now use our years of experience to make electric charging easy and possible for everyone. We are the partner for charging solutions in various sectors and now manage more than 5,000 charging stations. From business charging stations to large charging plazas and fast charging locations. From inventory to installation and management. We make electric charging easy, are committed and stand for personal service. We are proud of what we do and value clear communication and great cooperation!
What will you do?
As a Technical Support Engineer you will be an important point of contact in our service organization that we have created under the name ElectraClear. You will report to the Technical Service Manager. From supporting the design of charging stations to keeping chargers operational, you and your colleagues will ensure that our installers and customers can count on high-quality service.
Your days are varied and dynamic. Here's an inside look at what you can expect:
- Commissioning: For our fast charging systems, you prepare the (online) commissioning so that the installer who has just placed the charger can go through a smooth commissioning process.
- Operations Support: From the moment the charging facilities are commissioned, responsibility is transferred to our support organization. Under the name ElectraClear, we manage a network of charging points for which you are co-responsible.
- Technical support: We have outsourced1st and2nd line support to our partners. But they don't know everything. If they have questions, they call our Technical Support Engineer. You help them further and manage the ticketing system. Questions you can't answer directly yourself, you coordinate with our Product Manager or ask the manufacturer directly.
- Maintenance Cloud: With an advanced maintenance cloud we can manage a large number of functionalities of our chargers. Not only technical settings, but also, for example, videos that customers want to play on the chargers. You are an important pivot in the management of the maintenance cloud and can, among other things, grant customers (limited) access to the functionalities.
- Design tasks : At the request of your sales colleagues, you provide input on the design of charging plazas. Together you decide on the installed capacity and type of chargers to be used for a project.
- Failure analysis: Together with your colleagues, you analyze problems that our partners cannot solve themselves, share insights with colleagues and translate them into solutions that make our systems and service ever better.
- Site visits: On an occasional basis, you will be on the road to projects (for example) to resolve a complex failure, or to ensure that the commissioning of fast chargers goes smoothly.
- Managing relationships: You liaise with suppliers and stakeholders and ensure that Service Level agreements are respected by suppliers.
Why does this position suit you?
You are a go-getter and get energy from a dynamic work environment. You are a born troubleshooter and get satisfaction from helping customers and colleagues. Furthermore you have
- MBO+ working and thinking level: Preferably in engineering or information technology.
- Problem solving ability: You act quickly and effectively on malfunctions and technical problems.
- IT skills: You are able to quickly grasp our control software (RoboCharge) and the maintenance cloud for our (fast) chargers and can indicate what software improvements you would like to implement to make your job easier.
- Communication skills: You are able to communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders.
- Organization skills: You are able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
- Electrical engineering background and/or OCPP: For the performance of your job it is not an absolute must, but an electrical engineering background or knowledge of the Open Charge Point Protocol is definitely a plus.
What do we offer you?
In addition to a unique opportunity to help shape the future of EV charging, we offer you:
- Challenging position in a fast growing market: Step into a challenging role where you can really make a difference. As part of one of the fastest growing markets, you will contribute to making Europe more sustainable. A chance to make an impact and leave your mark on the future!
